Graphic Artist

Job Description

 

The Graphic Artist will explore the history of the Union Pacific logo as well as the design of steam engines in the 1800’s. You also have the job of helping the Environmentalist preview music  for the creation of the jingle.  As the Graphic designer, you will need to use the internet resources provided to answer the questions below. You can record your findings in this research log.

 

Questions

1.  Why is the Union Pacific logo designed the way it is?
2.  Would it be worthwhile to explore an alternative design for a logo? Is the logo outdated?
3.  What type of engine was used in the first run on the transcontinental railroad?

4.  What type of song  do you think has a catchy tune that you could use to create a jingle?
